Assam Police Un-Armed Branch Constables will be recruited based on several tests which have to be cleared by the candidates to get selected as constable. Assam Police Constable Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2016 will be helpful for you to prepare for the exam. Below are the sets of selection conditions for each eligible candidate.
- Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- 40 marks
- Written Test- 50 marks
- Extra-curricular activities and special skills- 10 marks
The details of each section is being described below. All the Phases have to be cleared to get selected as constable post.
PHASE 1: Physical Efficiency Test/ Physical Standards Test
Race (20 marks): For Males, 3.2 Km to be completed in 14 minutes. For Females, 1.6 Km to be completed in 8 minutes.
Long Jump (20 marks): For Males, 335 cm (min) in 3 chances. For Females, 224 cm (min) in 3 chances.
NOTE: Candidates who qualify in PST round will be eligible for other rounds, video recording will be done for the candidates and their biometric readings will be taken for identification.
Phase 2: Written Test
Exam Type: Objective Type
Total Questions: 100
Total Marks: 50 (0.5 marks for each answer)
Phase 3: Extra Marks as per capabilities: Educational Qualification (5 marks), NCC (3 marks), Home Guards (3 marks), Sports (3 marks), Computer Knowledge (5 marks), Swimming/Diving certificate (2 marks), Firefighting/ Rock climbing/ Tracking certificate/Martial Arts certificates (3 marks), ITI/Foreman certificate (2 marks)
