Exam Type: Objective
Total Questions: 200
Total Marks: 200
Subjects Included (50 questions from each section): Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, Technical Knowledge
NOTE: There will be negative marking in exam approx.. 25%
BIS Scientist ‘B’ Syllabus: The details of all the topics to be included in exam are-
Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, LCM & HCF, Fractions, Decimals, Simplification, Averages, Problems on trains, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Simple & Compound Interest, Problem on ages, ratio & proportions, bars & charts, boats & streams etc.
Reasoning: Verbal + Non- verbal reasoning- similarities & differences, visual memory, blood relationship, coding & decoding, classifications, missing patterns, odd man series, statements & conclusions, decision making, table problems
English: Both Language & grammar related queries- Grammar (Voice, Narration, Verbs, Nouns, adjectives, adverbs, proverbs, idioms, phrasal verbs), Comprehension passages, word meanings, antonyms, synonyms
Technical Knowledge: In respect to the technical trade, the questions will be asked in exam. The engineering course covered for each stream is the part of exam. The candidates just need to be prepared with basics of each stream so that they can solve the MCQs asked in exam.
