CRPF Constable (Tradesman) Written Exam Syllabus With Pattern Scheme

Central Reserve Police Services CRPF Constable Tradesman exam is being conducted in written form so as to select the best candidates. The exam is considered as the important exam paper and is given by many candidates and so CRPF CT Syllabus Exam Pattern is mentioned to prepare in best possible way for the examination. CRPF Constable Tradesman exam is conducted for both Male and Female candidates for trades such as Driver, Washerman and Hair Dresser, Pipe Band, Cook, Water Carrier, Safai Karamchari, Barber, Fitter, Bugler, Tailor, Cobbler, Carpenter, Painter, Gardener, Brass Band. The criteria of selection is mentioned-

  • Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Written Examination
  • Trade Test
  • Medical Exam and Document Verification

For Physical Standard Test-

CHEST- 76 cms, 76 cms, 78 cms respectively for each category.

For Physical Efficiency Test- Following are the conditions for different posts:

For Driver & Fitter, 05 Kms race within 24 minutes and for others (except Fitter & Driver) 1.6 Kms race within 10 minutes and 12 minutes by males & females respectively.

CRPF Constable Tradesman Exam Syllabus & Pattern Details-

Exam Pattern: The written test will be conducted for which the total of 2 hours will be given. The paper will be of 100 marks which will be divided into 2 parts-

  • Paper I- General Awareness/ Knowledge of elementary mathematics
  • Paper II- Knowledge of Trade as expected
  • Total Questions: 50 Questions in each paper
  • Total Marks: 100

Elementary Mathematics/ Quantitative Aptitude: Includes questions on L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Simplification, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Decimals, Fractions, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Tables & Graphs, etc.

General Knowledge: It includes- History, Geography, economic development of Himachal Pradesh, current events of National and International importance, day to day observations, scientific aspects, previous happenings of about Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian Economy including Geography of India, Indian culture and Indian Polity.

Hindi/English Knowledge: Understanding correct English & Hindi is basic requirement today and so the questions are asked based on spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, error recognition, verbs, preposition, articles, vocabulary, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words.

Analytical Aptitude/ Reasoning Ability: Question (verbal and non-verbal) are asked in this section which are analogies, similarities and differences, odd man series, table concepts, figure classification, pattern matching, relationship, Venn diagrams, blood relationship concepts.

Technical Aspect: Objective Type MCQs which will direct the questions to test the knowledge of the trade as is chosen by the applicant.

Followed by written exam is the trade test details of which are-

It can be an objective & subjective test which will be of 50 marks in total. For driver & fitter post,

  • Trade Test Oral Assessment- 10 marks
  • Trade Test Practical Assessment- 35 marks
  • Written skill test (20 min)- 5 marks

For all other posts-

  • Diploma/ Certificate Course holders- 3 marks
  • Trade test Oral Assessment- 7 marks
  • Trade Test Practical Assessment- 35 marks
  • Written skill test (20 min)- 5 marks

In Medical round, the health will be diagnosed by the officials.
