Syllabus For High Court Delhi Judicial Services 2015 Exam Pattern

Delhi High Court Judicial Service Exam is being conducted in which the candidates will have to undergo the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, viva-Voce. The details of each section are given below as per which the selection process will continue.

Exam Pattern: The exam pattern for all the sections of selection are given-

For Preliminary Exam-

  • Exam Type: Objective
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Subjects Included: General Knowledge, English, General Judicial Based questions, Aptitude
  • NOTE: There will be negative marking of 0.25

For Mains Exam-

  • Exam Type: Subjective Type
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Subjects Included: General Knowledge & language (250 marks), Civil Law-I, Civil Law-II, Criminal Law of 200 marks each

Exam Syllabus: For Preliminary Exam-

The questions will be asked in general sense which includes- Quantitative Aptitude of low level, basic knowledge of English in comprehension and vocabulary, Constitution, Principles Governing Arbitration Law, Evidence Act, Specific Relief Act, Limitation Act, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Contract Act, Code of Civil Procedure, Partnership Act

For Mains exam-

General Knowledge & Language: The questions will be asked from current affairs, important dates of national & international level, social, economic, political issues related to India etc. From language, the questions will be asked from vocabulary- meanings, antonyms, synonyms and there will be passages in Hindi & English which have to translated to other language respectively.

Civil Law-I: Specific Relief Act, Hindu Law, Law of Torts, Indian Sale of Goods Act, Indian Partnership Act, Mohammaden Law, Indian Contract Act, Delhi Rent Control Act

Civil Law-II: Law of Evidence, Civil Procedure Code, Law of Registration, Law of Limitation

Criminal Law: Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Evidence Act
