Syllabus For Delhi Police Home Guard (General Duty) Selection Criteria

Delhi Police Department have recently announced the recruitment for the post of Home Guards Volunteer (General Duty) under the Directorate General of Home Guards, Delhi. Aspirants who have filled the application form can now focus on the examination which will be conducted in two stages. Delhi Police Home Guard Exam Pattern and Syllabus.

Selection Process-

Stage-I is written Test & Bonus Marks

Stage-II is Physical Measurement & Endurance Test (PMET) + Verification of Documents

Delhi Police Home Guard Written Examination scheme:

  1. Written test will be of multiple choice objective type question paper.
  2. Paper will be of 80 questions containing 80 marks & each question carries 01 mark each.
  3. Every aspirants will be given 01:30 hours.
  4. Every candidate must obtain 28 marks in order to process to next stage-II.

Delhi Police Home Guard Syllabus: 10th standard level questions will be asked from subjects- Mathematics, Science, Culture & Topography of Delhi, Reasoning, History of Delhi, Constitution of India, Ancient Indian History & Culture, Geography & General Knowledge, Current Affairs

Award of Bonus Marks (Maximum 20 marks):

Bonus Marks for NCC Certificate (Max 5 marks): NCC Certificate ‘C’ Class (5 Marks), NCC Certificate ‘B’ Class (03 Marks), NCC Certificate ‘A’ Class (02 Marks)

3 years and above experience as Home Guard Volunteer: 10 Marks

3 years or above Experience in Civil Defence Bonus marks: 5 marks

3 years and above experience as Civil Defence Volunteer: 5 Marks

Having certificate of Part Time Instructor Course OR min. 2 Civil Defence Advance courses from CTI-Delhi OR 1 course from NCDC-Nagpur/CTI-Bangalore: 5 Marks

Physical Measurement:

Qualifying Height: 165 cm for male, 150 cm for female

Physical Endurance Test: Race of 1 km for Male candidate & 800 meters for female candidates in the given time for which time allotted is 5 min 30 Seconds up to 35 year of age and 6 min 30 seconds for more than 35 years of age.
