FCI Junior Engineer Syllabus & Scheme 2015 Typist Asst Grade II|III

Food Corporation of India (FCI) recruitment for posts of Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical), Typist & Assistant Grade II & III for North, South, East, West & North East Zone will be done based on written exam. Exam Pattern & Syllabus for FCI exam is described below as per which the preparations for the exam can be done by the applicant.

Exam Pattern: Every candidate of whatever post he/ she may apply for (Post Code A, B, C, F, G, H and I) has to attempt Paper 1 followed by Paper 2. But the candidates of Post code D need to appear in Paper 3 & Paper 4. Do remember that the exam will be conducted in 1 sitting only.

Paper 2 Post Code E (Typist Hindi)
Paper II Paper 1 Post Code A (Junior Engineer-Civil), Post Code B (Junior Engineer-Electrical), Post Code C (Junior Engineer-Mechanical),Post Code G (AG III- Accounts) & Post Code H (AG III-Technical)
Paper 2
Paper 3 Post Code D (AG II- Hindi)
Paper 4

The paper pattern for FCI JE, Typist & Assistant Grade II & III are-

Exam type: Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions)

Total Questions: 120 in Paper 1, 2, 3

Total Time: 90 minutes

Exam mode: Both English & Hindi

  1. Paper 1: General Aptitude, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness
  2. Paper 2: Domain Based questions
  3. Paper 3: General Hindi & English, General Awareness, General Intelligence, Computer Knowledge.
  4. Paper 4: Translation passages

FCI JE, Typist & Assistant Grade II & III Syllabus: The syllabus for the different exams as listed above are-

Paper 1- This paper will contain the questions from numerical aptitude which will include the topics such as number system, LCM & HCF, Problems on trains, speed, distance & time, graphs, charts, time & work, boats & streams etc. Also, the questions will be asked from verbal & non- verbal reasoning part, general affairs around including important dates of national & international events, scientific observations.

Paper 2- The questions will be asked based on domain being selected. Like, for Civil Engineering the questions will asked from the subjects which are being studied in the degree course. The questions will be based on concepts of different topics. Same goes for Electrical, Mechanical engineering.

For Assistant Grade III Accounts, questions on Commerce can be asked in exam which includes the General Accounting & Finance

For Assistant Grade III Technical questions on Biological Science will be asked in exam.

Paper 3- The questions will be asked so as to comprehend the language skills of applicant. This will include the grammar & comprehension passages in case of Hindi & English. Other questions will be based on general intelligence and computers basics.

Paper 4- The translation passages will be asked in the exam (Hindi to English and vice-versa)
