Haryana Diploma Entrance Test (DET) for the admission to diploma courses in engineering, architecture, business management, finance, hotel management, library & information science, pharmacy etc.is being conducted. Haryana Polytechnic DET exam pattern & syllabus are defined below which can be used to prepare for the exam. This exam is competitive exam and so the candidates need to prepare well for the same.
Haryana DET Exam Syllabus
General Reasoning: The questions will be asked from reasoning section. Both verbal & non- verbal reasoning topics include- Coding & decoding, syllogistic reasoning, number series, arithmetic series, semantic series, figure classification, problem solving, odd man series, symbolic operations, statement & conclusions, orientation, series, problems on tables, missing patterns, venn diagrams, embedded figures, social & emotional intelligence, critical thinking, indexing, folding & unfolding etc.
Aptitude: This will include questions from Mathematics- Profit & loss, simple & compound interest, mixtures & alligations, time & work, time & distance, LCM & HCF, Problem on trains, number system, probability, permutation & combination, probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, discount, mensuration, bars & charts etc.
General Awareness: The questions will be based on surroundings, environment, everyday science, political, economic, social issues of nation, scientific research, historical, geographical matters etc. The questions will be based on current affairs and some will be asked from books, sports, railways, books, authors etc.
English: The questions are asked from comprehension passages given in the exam, grammar section (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, narration, idioms, one word substitutution, phrasal verb) and vocabulary section which includes word meanings, antonyms and synonyms.
Science: The questions from Physics, Chemistry & Biology will be asked in exam. The basics will be covered only.
