Indian Overseas Bank PO Syllabus Exam Pattern Details Paper Scheme

Indian Overseas Bank Probationary Officer exam is being conducted so as to select the candidates which are appropriate for the post. For this, an objective type paper is scheduled by officials. IOB PO Exam Pattern & Syllabus is being mentioned below following which it will be easier to prepare for exam. IOB PO Exam Syllabus will include several topics & sections which are important in respect to the exam preparation.

IOB PO Exam Pattern- A written exam which is objective type will contain the questions from following sections-

So, there will be total of 200 Questions of 200 marks in the written exam.

NOTE: There will be negative marking in exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

IOB PO Exam Syllabus:

Quantitative Aptitude- The questions will be asked from- Problem on numbers, LCM & HCF, Time & Speed, Time & Work, Probability, Statistics, Permutation & Combinations, Ratios & Proportions, Mixtures & Alligations, Boats & Streams, Distance, Problems on Trains, Graphs & Charts

English- The questions will be asked from general sense which wil include- Verbs, Nouns, Pronouns, Adjectives, Adverbs, Idioms & proverbs, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension passages

Computer Awareness- The candidates will be asked the questions based on MS- Word, MS- Excel, MS- Powerpoint, MS- Access, usage of Internet, E-mails.

Logical Reasoning- The questions will be asked from verbal & non- verbal type- Odd man series, Missing pattern, syllogistic reasoning, pattern matching, complete the series, statements & conclusions, arithmetic series, blood relations, seating arrangements

General Awareness- The questions will be asked from current affairs of national & international level, important dates & events ongoing in India & World, social; economical; political issues ongoing in country. Some questions will also be asked based on sports, history of India.
