IOF Tiruchirappalli Syllabus & Scheme For MTS,LDC,Durwan

Indian Ordnance Factory, Tiruchirappalli exam is being conducted so as to select the candidates which are best as per their caliber in the following posts-

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
  • Durwan
  • Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

IOF Exam Pattern & Syllabus is being provided below as per which you can prepare well for the exam. IOF Tiruchirappalli Syllabus will constitute the different topics which should be prepared for the exam. Make a schedule to study and practice a lot of questions for the exam.

Exam Pattern: For Durwan-

MCQs will come in the exam paper which will be of 2 Hours. The topics covered in the exam-

  • General intelligence: 25 marks
  • General awareness: 50 marks
  • English language: 50 marks
  • Numerical aptitude: 25 marks

For Lower Division Clerk (LDCs)-

  • General intelligence: 50 marks
  • General awareness: 50 marks
  • English language: 50 marks
  • Numerical aptitude: 50 marks

NOTE: For every wrong question, 0.25 marks will be deducted

Followed by exam will be a typing test.

For Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)-

  • General intelligence: 25 marks
  • General awareness: 50 marks
  • English language: 50 marks
  • Numerical aptitude: 25 marks

Exam Syllabus: The topics covered in all the sections of each post are-

General Intelligence: Some basic questions will be asked in which the simple logic is required. The questions will be like- Analogues, similarities & differences, problem solving, judgment, visual memory,, relationship concept, figure classification, arithmetical series, space visualization, Word Building, Coding and De-coding

General Awareness: The questions will be asked from current events of national & international importance, everyday observations questions, scientific research, latest updates on economic; political; social; science; sports; culture can be asked, some important dates & events which can be asked in the exam.

English Language: The questions in the exam will be based on basic vocabulary, antonyms, synonyms, meanings. Other questions will include- sentence structure, writing ability, comprehension passages

Numerical aptitude: The questions will be asked from Number systems, whole numbers, decimals, fractions, arithmetical operations, interest, profit &loss, discount, use of tables & graphs, mensuration, time & distance, time & work, ratio & proportion, averages, percentages, trigonometry

LDC typing test: As per the choosen language of the applicant, the exam will be-

For English: Speed of 35 words per minute

For Hindi: Speed of 30 words per minute

For Visually handicapped candidates (with 40 % disability and above) will be provided passage dictators for the typewriting test
