IPPB Officer Scale 1 Syllabus & Exam Pattern Download PDF

India Post Payment Bank recruitment of Officer Scale I (Probationary Officer) will be done through a written exam which will be conducted by IBPS. IPPB Officer Scale 1 Exam Pattern & Syllabus is defined below which can be checked and accordingly you can start preparing for the exam. The selection criteria of the paper is-

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Main Exam

IPPB Officer Scale 1 Exam Pattern: The individual details of both are defined below-

For Preliminary Exam-

  • Exam Type: Objective
  • Total Marks: 100 marks
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Subject Included with weightage: Reasoning (35%), Quantitative Aptitude (35%), English (30%)
  • Total Time: 1 Hour

For Mains Exam-

  • Exam Type: Objective
  • Total Marks: 200 marks
  • Total Questions: 200 (1 mark each)
  • Subjects Included-

Reasoning 50 each 40 min each
Quantitative Aptitude
English 40 each 30 min
General Awareness 20 min
Computer Awareness 20 10 min

NOTE: 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

IPPB Officer Scale I Syllabus:

Reasoning: The questions will be asked from both verbal & non- verbal reasoning- Venn diagrams, coding & decoding, statement & conclusion, problem solving, seating arrangement, decision making, input & output, logical reasoning, missing pattern, odd man series, table based questions, directions etc.

English Language: The questions will be asked from grammar section (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, proverb, subject- predicate, idioms, phrases, narration, voice), vocabulary section (meanings, antonyms, synonyms), word arrangement, jumbled sentences, comprehension passages

Quantitative Aptitude: The questions will be asked from number system, Averages, LCM & HCF, whole number, decimals, simplification, simple & compound interest, profit & loss, time & work, time & speed, problem on trains, graphs & charts, percentages, probability, permutation & combination etc.

General Awareness: The questions will be asked from general topics like ongoing events in India, banking questions, important dates, science & technology, sports, culture, budget, 5 year plan, books, authors, abbreviations

Computer Awareness: The questions will be asked from the computers basic knowledge- basics of computer, MS Office (word, excel, access, powerpoint), basics of network, email usage, internet usage, certain shortcuts etc.
