- Duration of Examination (Time): 3 Hours-180 Minutes
- Examination will be of multiple choice questions (MCQ)
- Qualification Marks for General category is 35% and for Ex-serviceman/ Schedule Cast/ Schedule Tribes/ OBC are 33%.
- There will be a skill test after this examination which contains 20 marks.

General English: Cover topics like- verb, adverb, subject verb, preposition, error correction/ recognition, sentences rearrangement, tenses, fill in the blanks, comprehension, vocabulary- antonym, synonym, grammar, sentence correction Etc.
General Arithmetic: This section will contain question from general mathematics/ analytical so prepare this topics you will definitely will not have any problem- L.C.M., H.C.F, ratio & proportion, simplification, decimals, fractions, simple & compound interest, discount, mensuration, percentage, average, profit & loss, time & work, time & distance, tables & graphs Etc.
General Knowledge (GK): Firstly prepare questions from Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India, Indian Modern History (1857 onwards). Questions on Himachal Pradesh History, Geography and Socio Economic Development. Check daily updates going on current affairs on National and International importance and current games & winner names. For this you need to check out all the latest news going on in newspapers.
Knowledge of Computer: Operating system- Windows Software’s Like-MS-Office : Word Processing (MS-Word-.doc, .docx), Presentation Knowledge (MS-Power Point -.ppt), Spread Sheet (MS-Excel), MS Access and Usage of Internet Services, Computer Fundamentals, Communication Technology, Networking Concepts.
- Those Aspirants who will clear/qualify the written examination will be tested on typing test.
- Minimum 35 per minute typing speed in English & 30 words in Hindi typing. Time Given- 30 words
- English typing test will be in times new roman format & Hindi typing test will be Remington/ Mangal format only.
