Manipur State Power Recruitment 2015 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) Junior Establishment Assistant, Switch Board Assistant, Switch Board Junior Assistant, Junior Technical Assistant and Watchman cum Cleaning Assistant posts recruitment is done through a selection criteria details of which are given below.

For Switch Board Assistant (SBA), the exam pattern & syllabus-

Exam Pattern: Written exam will be conducted which will be of 80 marks and will contain the questions from GK, English and basic electrical engineering knowledge.

Followed by this, will be Interview of 20 marks

For Switch Board Junior Assistant (SBJA), Junior Technical Assistant (JTA), Watchman cum Cleaning Assistant

Exam Pattern: Written exam will be conducted which will be of 80 marks and will contain the questions from GK, English and basic electrical engineering knowledge

After written exam, there will be Physical Endurance Test (PET) for Junior Technical Assistant. (Males: 1.6 KM race in 7 minutes, Females: 800m in 4.5 minutes

Followed by these, will be Interview of 20 marks which will be held for qualified candidates only.

For Junior Establishment Assistant (JEA), the exam pattern & syllabus constitute-

Exam Pattern: Written exam will be conducted which will be of 80 marks and will contain the questions from GK & English.

Followed by written exam will be a typing test (30 w.p.m. for UR/OBC & 25 w.p.m. for SC/ST/PH)

Followed by these, will be Interview of 20 marks which will be held for qualified candidates only.

MSPCL Syllabus For all posts:

General English: To Test the candidate’s ability in English, a test is conducted which includes Grammar (Verb, preposition, adverb, nouns, tenses, adverbs, idioms, proverbs, adjective, active/ passive, indirect & direct narration), Error Correction, comprehension, vocabulary

General Knowledge (GK): The questions will be asked based on current affairs, important dates & events of national & international events, awards, books, languages, sports & capitals, currency, scientific inventions which are latest etc.

Electrical Engineering: The basic questions will be asked from Electrical field-

Introduction to Electrical Engineering, Electrical Terms, Circuits, Electromagnetism, Electrical Effect, Batteries, Electrical Measuring Instruments, Generator,  Motor etc.
