Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) recruitment for posts of Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector is being done through a written exam. OSSC Junior Motor Vehicle (MVI) Exam Pattern & Syllabus is being defined below as per which the questions are asked in exam paper. Being a competitive paper, it is important to prepare for exam as per required.
Exam Pattern: There will be a written test conducted for the selection which will include the topics-
Paper-I: Questions based on language Proficiency in Odia & English and General Knowledge paper of 50 marks and the time allotted is 60 minutes. 30 questions (1 mark each) will be based on English and Odia and 20 questions (1 mark each) will be based on General Knowledge.
Paper-II: Questions based on Vehicle maintenance, Motor vehicle laws pollution Standards, road safety rules of 50 marks for about 60 minutes
Paper-III: Questions based on field of Automobile Engineering paper of 100 marks for which 120 minutes will be allotted. There will be 100 questions in this paper.
After the written exam, viva voce round will be conducted which will be of 25 marks
Exam Syllabus: The details of the each section of exam is-
In Paper-I, English & Odia Language proficiency questions will be such as to test the vocabulary and usage, grammar topics, correcting errors, common words usage, phrases.
General Knowledge will include the questions from History & Geography of India & Odisha, political system, Socio- economic issues, environmental issues, current affairs of India & International level.
In Paper-II, Questions asked to test the knowledge of the candidate- Fire hazard, maintenance of vehicles, pollution standards, road safety rules, First Aid, motor vehicle laws
In Paper-III, Automobile Engineering questions will be of Diploma standard.
