OSSC Junior Clerk & Assistant Mains & Prelims Syllabus With Exam Pattern

OSSC Junior Clerk and Junior Assistant recruitment exam is being conducted for which the candidates need to prepare well. The details of exam pattern & syllabus for OSSC Jr. Clerk & Assistant are given below as per which the candidates can prepare for all stages of selection. As there are many candidates who will compete along, so preparations have to be done in best manner.

OSSC Jr. Clerk & Assistant Exam Pattern: For Preliminary Exam-

  • Exam Type: Objective
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Total Time: 90 minutes
  • Subjects Included: General Knowledge, English/ Odia language, Computer skill test

For Mains Exam-

  • Total Marks: 400
  • Subjects Included with marks: English language (50), Odia Language (50), GK (100), Mathematics (100), Computers Skill Test (100)
  • Total Time: 1 Hour is given for each paper of 50 marks and 90 minutes are given for paper of 100 marks

Followed by these is a computer based skill test, which is of 50 marks and 1 hour is given for the same.

OSSC Jr. Clerk & Assistant Exam Syllabus:

General Knowledge: Current affairs, important dates of national & international events, history, geography, political, social issues. The questions will be asked in respect to Orissa state also. The basics of different sections are asked in exam to test the knowledge of candidate.

Odia/ English Language: The questions will be asked in order to test the knowledge of candidate in English and regional language. The grammar section includes- Verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, one word substitution, proverbs, idioms, phrasal verbs, speech, narration and several other topics. The vocabulary of candidate is being tested through questions in exam.

Mathematics: Fractions, Decimals, Number system, LCM & HCF, percentages, Simplification, ratios & proportions, boats & streams, probability,  time & work, simple & compound interest, time & distance
