RBI grade B Officers Exam is being conducted to select the candidates which are best for the post. The selection criteria for RBI Grade ‘B’ officers is- Phase I, Phase II & Interview. The candidates need to pass through these phases to get selected in RBI for this post.
RBI Grade ‘B’ Exam Pattern-
Phase I Exam Pattern:
- Exam Type: Objective
- Total Marks: 200
- Subjects Included: GK, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning
- Total Time: 2 Hours
Phase II Exam Pattern: 3 Papers (2 are compulsory- English & Economic/Social issues and 1 optional- Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics) Out of these English is a descriptive paper based on paper and computer both.
- Total Marks: 300 (100 marks for each paper)
- Total Time: 270 minutes (90 minutes each paper)
Exam Syllabus: For each section the detailed topics are-
Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, LCM & HCF, Fractions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Simple & Compound interest, profit & loss, bars & charts, ratio & proportion, probability, permutation & combination, binomial theorem etc.
English: The questions will be asked from grammar section- Verbs, nouns, phrasal verbs, idioms, proverbs, speech, narration etc. Vocabulary section including synonyms, antonyms and meanings. The questions will be asked from comprehension passages also in the exam.
Reasoning: Verbal + Non- Verbal type- Similarities & differences, decision making, discrimination, relationships, coding & decoding, missing pattern, odd man series etc.
GK: Current events, History, Political science, geography, socio Economic issues, banking, sports, national events, important dates & events, scientific research etc.
Economic & Social Issues: The questions will be asked in very simple way like- national income, per capita income, Sustainable Development, Industrial policy, Labour Policy, Indian Political System, economic planning, payments, Globalization, Social Movements etc.
English: Basically writing section will be asked in exam like Essay writing, Précis writing or some professional works
Finance and Management: The questions will be asked in a very basic format from both finance and management. Finance will include Union Budget, taxes, Outlays, Money Market, Foreign Exchange Market, stock exchanges, From FERA to FEMA, Exchange Rate & Risk Management and many others. Management includes processes, planning, organization, leadership qualities, HRD, performance appraisal, training & Development, Communication skills etc.
