Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) various exams are the medium of selection of candidates. The recruitment of Staff Nurse (Health Care, Human Service, Family Welfare Department) in Government of Sikkim will also be done through an written paper. Sikkim PSC Staff Nurse Syllabus & Scheme for exam are given below which will help you to prepare for the exam.
SPSC Staff Nurse Exam Pattern: For Staff Nurse exam, an objective type paper will be conducted which means there will be multiple choice questions in exam. There will be total 3 papers in exam and the details of each are-
Paper 1 & 2 of 50 marks (General English & GK) and Paper 3 is of 300 marks (Nursing).
NOTE: For Paper 1 & 2, 1 hour each will be given and for Paper 3, 3 hours will be given
Followed by written exam, there will be personality test (50 marks)
SPSC Staff Nurse Exam Syllabus: The details of all 3 papers are given below-
General English: The questions will be asked such a way that the language comprehension skills are tested. These questions are based on grammar, comprehension passages, vocabulary, writing skills etc.
General Knowledge: The questions will be such a way to test the General Knowledge and awareness- Current affairs of India & World level, important dates of various events, nursing related new things in market, various nursing programmes etc. The questions can be asked from different sectors like economic, political, social etc.
Nursing: This section of exam has highest weightage and so should be prepared well. The questions will be asked from topics-
Basic Topics: Fundamentals of Nursing, First Aid, Hygiene, Community Health Nursing, Communicational Skills, Nutrition, Computer Education, Educational Method & Media for teaching, Administration & Ward Management
Nursing Topics: Biological Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Behavioural Science & Psychology, Medical Surgical Nursing (Pharmacology, Specialties), Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing, Midwifery & Gynecological, Community Health Nursing II, Pediatric Nursing, Health Economics
