Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) conducts various exams for different purposes which also includes the recruitment in any field. The candidates when are to be selected for particular post need to undergo a certain selection criteria. This is because the competition is really high and the ones who beat it up get the job. Sikkim PSC Head Master and Principal at Secondary Level exam syllabus and pattern will help the candidates to know how to prepare for the exam. Knowing the paper pattern of the exam, it is easier to make a plan of study.
Exam Pattern: There are 3 papers included in the written exam which are-
Paper I- Subjective Type Paper of General English of 50 marks for which 01:00 hours will be allotted.
Paper II- Objective Type Paper of General Knowledge of 50 marks for which 01:00 hours will be allotted
Paper III- Subjective Type Paper of General Paper of 300 marks for which 03:00 hours are given
After the written exam, Viva-Voce of 50 marks is held.
Exam Syllabus: The syllabus for the SPSC Head Master & principal as per the different papers is given below-
For Paper 1-
General English- Basic English is the most important part of every field today and so it is expected from the applicants to have the knowledge of the same. The questions are put across to judge out Comprehension, Grammar and Composition of English. Some basic questions are seen including the nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, idioms, synonyms, antonyms, speech, narration, voice etc.
For Paper 2-
General Knowledge- The questions are asked from the most basic knowledge of current events across globe, happenings around, important dates, political background news, economic issues.
For Paper 3-
General Paper- This paper will contain the questions based on the topics such as-

- Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA)
- Reshtriya Madhayamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA)

For Viva Voce- The questions are asked on the general interest and the basics that need to be there for the post of Head Master & principal at the secondary school.
