There are several competitive examinations being organized by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). It depends on exam to exam that who all are capable for the exam. SSC Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk (DEO & LDC) and Postal & Sorting Assistant recruitment exam is being conducted for the candidates who are 12th pass. SSC Combined Higher Secondary 10+2 (CHSL) exam pattern & Syllabus is being provided below as per which the candidates can prepare well for the exam. Syllabus for SSC CHSL Descriptive Paper will include several topics mentioned below.
SSC CHSL 2019 Syllabus & Pattern 2019
It is not difficult to score good in the exam but it only requires a better concentration. Prepare well and practice the questions of each section well for the exam.
SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2019
Objective type paper with multiple choice questions is seen for the selection of the candidates. There are 4 parts in of objective paper-
- English Language- 50 marks
- Reasoning- 50 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude- 50 marks
- GK/ General Awareness- 50 marks
For this exam, total time given to each candidate is 120 minutes and to visually handicapped candidates it is 160 minutes.
NOTE: It depends on the candidate in which language he wishes to provide the answers but the exception goes for English language which has to be answered in English only.
SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus 2019
The syllabus for all the sections of the exam will include the topics as listed-
General Awareness: This is tested to check the knowledge related to World & India. The questions are related to History, Economical, political, scientific research, Culture, Geography. Also, current affairs based questions will be asked in the exam.
English Comprehension: This section will contain the questions based on letter writing, report writing, essay writing. These are asked so as to test the candidates’ ability in English language
Quantitative Aptitude: Number Systems, Time & distance, Decimal and Fractions, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Probability, Permutation & Combination, Averages, Profit & Loss, Discount, Mixture & Allegation, Time & work, Simple & Compound Interest, problems on trains, Boats & Streams, Trigonometry, geometrical figures, Bars & Charts, Tables.
Reasoning: Missing pattern, Symbolic Analogy, Odd man series, Space Orientation, Venn Diagrams, Number Classification, Figural Classification, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Seating Arrangements, Semantic Series, Arithmetic Series, Emotional Intelligence
The exam is a descriptive test, so practice will make your skills better to answer the questions well in the exam paper.
Skill Test for DEO: Speed should be of 8000 key depressions on computer per hour. Time given will be 15 minutes. {Content of approx 2200 words in English will be given which has to be typed}
Skill Test for LDC & Postal/ Sorting Assistant: English- 35 words per minute typing speed, Hindi- 30 words per minute typing speed. It is 10 minutes test.
