Staff Selection Commission Stenographers Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ recruitment is being done through a written exam for which all the details are given. SSC Stenographer Exam Syllabus & Pattern are mentioned below.
SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Exam Pattern: The details of all the parts of exam are-
Total Time: 2.40 hours
- Part-I: General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 marks)
- Part-II: General Awareness (50 marks)
- Part-III: English (100 marks)
NOTE: Negative marking- 0.25 marks; Each question is of 1 mark in each.
After written exam, skill test for qualified candidates will be conducted..
SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Exam Syllabus:
General Intelligence and Reasoning: The questions will be asked from missing patterns, analogies, odd man series, similarities & differences, problem solving & analysis, decision making, coding & deconding, statement & conclusion, relationships, verbal & figure classification. The questions will be asked from both verbal & non- verbal type.
General Awareness: The questions will be asked from general knowledge, current events of national & international events, Sports, History, Culture, economy, Geography, Political science events of India. The candidates will be asked the basics of all streams.
English: The questions will be asked from grammar & comprehension passages of English. The candidates will be tested based on English language- synonyms, antonyms, nouns, verbs, adjective, adverb, idioms, proverbs, vocabulary etc.
Skill Test: Dictation of 10 minutes in English/ Hindi where speed of 100 wpm is required for Stenographer C and 80 wpm is required for Stenographer D. Moreover, transcription time is-
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 50 minutes (English) & 65 minutes (Hindi)
Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 40 minutes (English) & 55 Minutes (Hindi)
The candidates need to prepare well for the written exam first. Then once they qualify the same the skill test can be practiced for the selection of candidates.
