TN Postman & Mailguard Exam Pattern: Written exam (objective type) is being conducted for the selection of candidates for the post.
Total Marks: 100
Total Time: 2 Hours
Subjects Included: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English, Tamil (Each section is of 25 marks)
Cut Off Marks: Unreserved (40%), OBC (37%), SC/ST (33%)
TN Postman & Mailguard Exam Syllabus: The details of topics from each section are-
General knowledge: Current events of national & international importance, geography, social, political, economic issues of India, culture, sports, books, authors, personalities & celebrities etc. The questions from verbal & non- verbal reasoning can also be asked in exam to test the analytical skills of candidate.
Mathematics: Number system (LCM & HCF, Averages, whole numbers, fractions, decimals), Arithmetical operations, Time & work, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Time & Distance , Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Discount, Partnership, Probability, permutation & combination
Language (Tamil/ English): The basics of candidate will be tested from Grammar section- Articles, Nouns, Prepositions, Phrasal verbs, Conjunctions, Tenses, Voice, Narration etc. Also from vocabulary section- Antonyms, synonyms, meanings.
Prepare and practice the questions well for the exam. This is necessary so as to be aware of the difficulty level of the exam. The topics seem simple but sometimes the questions are logical which need some trick to be solved for the better scores.
