TNPSC Syllabus For Civil Services – 1 (Group Services-I) Exam Pattern PDF

TNPSC Combined Civil Service (CCS- I) Group-I Services exam is being conducted for the candidates for the recruitment of several posts-

  • Deputy Collector
  • Deputy Superintendent of Police
  • Assistant Commissioner (C.T.)
  • District Registrar

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission CCS – I exam pattern & syllabus is being described below as per which the exam paper is set. There are several selection criteria set for the recruitment at different posts. These include- Prelims exam followed by Mains exam and then Interview. For Preliminary, Mains and Interview round of exam, TNPSC Combined Civil Service syllabus details are given.

Exam Pattern: For Preliminary Written Exam, following are the exam details-

  • Exam Type: MCQs
  • Total Questions: 200
  • Total Marks: 300
  • Total Time: 3 Hours
  • Subjects Included: General Studies (150 ques) & Aptitude & mental Ability (50 ques)

For Mains Written Examination & Interview-

  • Exam Type: Conventional
  • Total Marks: 3 Papers of total 300 marks
  • Total Time: 3 Hours for each paper

The interview round of the TNPSC CCS- I is of 120 marks.
