Uttar Pradesh postal Circle department Mailguard/ Postman & Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) exam is being conducted in which basics are asked so as to test the understanding of candidate. UP Postal Circle Postman/ MTS paper will contain the questions from defined syllabus which is defined below for all the sections of exam.
Exam Pattern: For Postman/ Mail Guard & MTS the paper pattern is described below as per which you can prepare your schedule to study for the exam-

- Total Sections: 4 (Part A, Part B, Part C(i) & Part C(ii))
- Total Marks: 100 marks
- Total Time: 2 hours
- Topics for Exam: Part A- General Knowledge, Reasoning & Analytical Ability, Part B- Mathematics, Part C (i)- English Language, Part C (ii)- Hindi Language
- Cut Off Criteria: Unreserved – 40% marks, OBC– 37% marks, SC/ST– 33% marks
Exam Syllabus: For all sections of exam, study the topics as mentioned below-
General knowledge, Reasoning & Analytical Ability: The questions will be asked from current affairs in India and world, important dates for events, Geography, History, Culture, General science, Sports, Economics are asked. From reasoning part some basic questions are asked like- Odd man series, missing patterns. The basic need for the exam is to check the analytical skills of the candidate through questions.
Mathematics: Number systems (HCF, LCM, fractions, Decimals, Averages), Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Time & distance, Ratios & Proportion, Discount, Time & work, Profit & loss, Simple interest
English Language: The questions will be asked so as to test the basic understanding in English language-
From grammar section study about verbs, nouns, articles, idioms, tenses
Have a base on vocabulary (Synonyms & Antonyms)
Comprehension passages are important part of exam so practice them.
Hindi: Same as English, study the grammar of Hindi, comprehension passages and vocabulary.
