Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Assistant Engineer (Trainee) in Civil and Electrical Engineering recruitment is being done through a computer based test in which the questions are asked from technical as well as generalized topics. Being a competitive paper, the candidates need to prepare the logical reasoning, general knowledge, Reasoning. The Technical subjects should be studied for the exam so as to attain good scores.
Following UPPCL Exam Pattern & Syllabus for AE (trainee) can differ from official syllabus. UPPCL will declare the official syllabus and then the same will be updated.
UPPCL AE Exam Pattern
Written exam is being conducted on computer in which there are 200 questions. There is negative marking in exam i.e. 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
Topics to be studied for exam- Technical Subject (150 marks), GK (20 marks), Reasoning (20 marks), Hindi (10 marks)
UPPCL Assistant Engineer Syllabus
For technical subject-
GK: This section is all concerned with the general things around like the History, Geography, Socio Economic, Current event, Indian culture, Political issues, societal matters, railways, languages.
Reasoning: Verbal + Non- verbal type questions- Analogies, similarities & differences, relationship concepts, odd man series, arithmetic reasoning, verbal & figure classification, matching patterns, problem solving, coding & decoding, statement & conclusion, visual memory, discrimination
Hindi: The questions will be asked from Hindi just to check the skills- grammatically and comprehension passage. Finding errors, Fill in the Blanks, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Voice, Narration, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passages.
Civil: Study the topics which are studied in the engineering course. The important topics include- Soil Mechanics, Building construction, Railways & Highways Engineer, Distribution system for canal irrigation, Road & Runways, Surveying, Hydraulic Engineering, Canal Structures/ Diversion Headworks, Water Resources Engineering, Environment Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Element of Electronics, Elements of Electrical Machines, Measurements, Steel Design, RC Design, Theory of Structures, Fluid Mechanics.
