Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in short known as UPPSC is going to conduct Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) exam. UPPSC Civil Judge Exam Syllabus and Pattern is given below.
Well as per the notification there will be three phases of the examination.
- Preliminary Examination (Objective & Multiple Choice Type)
- Main Examination (Written Conventional Type)
- Viva voce (Personality Test)
UPPSC Civil Judge Preliminary Exam Pattern
- There will be objective type multiple choice question.
- There will be two composite papers (Paper I & Paper II) in the written examination.
- Paper-I consists of 150 marks and Paper-II of 300 marks.
- Every candidate will be allowed to complete their exam in 2 hours (120 minutes) for each paper.
UPPSC Civil Judge Prelims Syllabus
In this paper questions will be asked from Indian history, Culture, Geography of India, India and the world, Indian Economy, Indian Polity, Current National Issues and topics of Social relevance, International Affairs, Science & Technology/ Communications and Space and their institutions.
The level of the paper will be such that a well-educated person will able to have such knowledge and answer.
In this paper questions will be asked from day to day scenario on legal spheres, Acts and Laws in India as well as whole world.

UPPSC Civil Judge Mains Exam Pattern

Followed by exam, will be an interview of 100 marks.
UPPSC Civil Judge Mains Exam Syllabus: The topic wise syllabus for exam is-
Substantive Law: This will cover following laws- Law of contracts, Law of Partnership, Law of transfer of property, Principal of Equity, Law of trust, Hindu Law, Mohammedan Law, Constitutional Law.
Procedure and Evidence: The questions will be asked from laws of- Evidence, Criminal Procedure Code, Code of Civil Procedure. The day to day procedures related questions will be asked in exam.
General Knowledge: The questions will be asked from History, Geography, Political Science, Administration, economic issues, current affairs of India & World level.
Language: Essay writing (60 marks), Precis writing (60 marks), translation from Hindi to English and vice versa of 40 marks each
Penal, Revenue and Local Laws: The questions will be asked from- Indian Penal Code, Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition, Urban Buildings Act 1972, Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, Land reforms Act 1951, U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, , Uttar Pradesh Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, U.P. Consolidation of Holding Act 1953
