BSPHCL Syllabus & Paper Pattern For Meter Reader- Exam Preparation

Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) has vacancies for Meter Reader & as you all have experience till now, exams are becoming tougher & tougher question which are asked are analytic. In order to prepare them you need the right path to follow & for that we are providing you BSPHCL Meter Reader Exam & Syllabus. Most of the aspirants get worried about the examination as everyone has dreams to get a good job. Now what you have to do is to practice more & more, try to cover each topic written in the syllabus.

Meter Reader Exam Pattern

  • The written examination will be of objective type multiple choice questions.
  • Question paper will be bilingual English/Hindi.
  • There will be only 1 exam contain 100 marks.
  • Minimum qualifying marks as per Government of Bihar norms, will be 40% for UR, 36.5% for BC, 34% for EBC & 32% for SC/ST/ Female candidates.
  • There will be around 5 sections but all containing multiple choice question.

BSPHCL Meter Reader Written Exam Syllabus

General Knowledge & General Science: In this section you have to focus on India’s History, Socio Economic development and Geography. Current events of National and International importance (Prizes, Medals, Deals and Sports) and question can be asked from every day observation and experience. Do not forget to revise Modern History of India, culture, Polity, Economy, Geography and Polity of India.

English Language: This section cannot be prepared in one day so for that you have to prepare Spot the Error, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Comprehension Passage, Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Cloze Passage, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration.

Computer Knowledge: Essential Software, hardware, Parts of Computer, Process, E-mail, Operation MS-Word, MS- Power Point, Internet, MS- Excel and MS- Access.

Mathematics: Elementary math, the fraction, percentage, multiply, divide, decimal points, , profit and loss, principal, interest, area, volume.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning: You need a thorough study for this section and spatial orientation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, prepare analogies, similarities and differences, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, spatial visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding.
