HP PSC HPAS- Administrative Services Main Exam Pattern & Syllabus PDF

Himachal Pradesh Administrative Main Competitive (HPAS) exam is being conducted by HPPSC- Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. The exam is a competitive examination and so the candidates need to prepare well for the exam paper.

HPPSC HPAS Exam Pattern

The compulsory papers will contain the subjects-

1. English (100 Marks)
2. Hindi (100 Marks)
3. Essay (150 Marks)
4. General Studies (150 Marks)

The 5 optional Papers will be of each 150 marks and viva voce of 150 marks. The list of optional subjects can be checked from the official website.

HPPSC HPAS Exam Syllabus:

English- The candidates will be tested based on Comprehension of English, Correct Grammatical Expression, Clarity & precision. The areas of testing are-

1. English
2. Vocabulary
3. English Composition
4. Comprehension of Unseen Passages
5. Precise Writing

Hindi in Devnagri Script: Translation of English passages into Hindi

General Studies: Current events of national & international events, modern history, Indian Economy and Geography

After this viva voce will be conducted to test the knowledge of candidates.
