IIVR Written & Skill Test Syllabus & Exam Pattern- Stenographer|LDC|Assistant

Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (IIVR) Written and Skill Test for Stenographer Gr.III, Lower Division Clerk, Technical Assistant and Programme Assistant Computer will be conducted. IIVR Syllabus and Exam Pattern details for each post are being mentioned below as per which the exam preparations can be done by the candidates. IIVR stenographer Syllabus will help the candidates to know how they will be tested in the exam paper. Get all syllabus details and schedule the time to study accordingly.

Exam Pattern:

For Steno Gr.III post- There will be a written exam (objective type) for which 2 hours of time will be allotted + 20 minutes extra for visually handicapped candidates. Each question is of 1 mark in the exam. The exam paper will be bilingual except for the English sections.

NOTE: Negative marking of 0.25 marks

Subjects Included- General Intelligence (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), English (100 marks)

For LDC post- An objective paper will be seen in which the candidates have to choose one correct option from the given 4 alternatives. 2 Hours + 20 min (for visually handicapped candidates) will be allotted. 1 Mark questions make up the exam paper which is set bilingually.

NOTE: Negative marking of 0.25 marks

Subjects Included- General Intelligence (50 marks), General Awareness (50 marks), English (50 marks), Numerical Aptitude (50 marks)

For Technical Assistant and Programme Assistant Computer Post- A written paper will be seen which will be followed by Personal Interview.

Exam Syllabus:

General Intelligence: Space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, Analogies, similarities and differences etc. topics are to be covered.

General Awareness: Current affairs of both India & international, scientific aspects, questions related to the fields such as Sports, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity, History, Culture and Scientific Research are asked in exam paper.

English: Both language understanding & comprehension are to be tested for each candidate and so the questions are asked from Grammar portion and the implementation of same is being tested.

For Stenographer Grade III, details of the syllabus are-

Skill Test- Dictation for 10 minutes in English/ Hindi at the speed of 80 w.p.m. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only. (50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi))

For Lower Division Clerk, the syllabus will include the above and given below topics-

Numerical Aptitude: Questions are asked from the numerical sections such as Decimals and Fractions, Arithmetical operations, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Number Systems, Whole Numbers, Time and Work, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs

Skill Test- A computer based test-

English Typing @ 35 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 minutes & 30 minutes for VH candidates)

Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 minutes & 30 minutes for VH candidates.
