Karnataka Postal Circle Time Scale Driver Syllabus & Paper Pattern

Karnataka Postal Circle written examination (Literacy/ Trade (Driving)) for Time Scale Driver is being part of selection procedure. The candidates who all apply for the post need to study well for the exam. Karnataka Postal Circle Time Scale Driver Syllabus & Exam Pattern details for exam are given below which can be followed to clear the exam. Exam Pattern: For Literacy Test- The exam paper is based on 8th class level which is objective type. Each question is 1 mark each and the duration of test is 90 minutes.  Total marks is 100 for written test

  • Part A- Arithmetic
  • Part B- Kannada language
  • Part C- Kannada Reading Test

The minimum marks to be obtained in exam paper are-

  • Arithmetic- 50 marks (UR- 20, OBC- 18, SC/ ST- 16)
  • Kannada Writing- 25 marks (UR- 10, OBC- 9, SC/ ST- 8)
  • Kannada Reading- 25 marks (UR- 10, OBC- 9, SC/ ST- 8)

For Driving test, the total marks is 60 and the minimum required marks is-

UR- 40%, OBC- 37%, SC/ ST- 33%

Exam Syllabus: For Literacy test-

Arithmetic- This section will contain the questions from level of 8th class which will include- Number System (HCF & LCM), Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, Time & Speed, unitary method and all basics questions.

The questions are based on the regional language which should be known by each applicant. It is important to read, write and converse in the language because the post of Driver needs the same.

For Driving Test-

The test will be conducted so as to test the skills which are to be present in every individual who is applicable for this job.
