Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Government of India recruitment to the Officers’ Cadre and Non-Teaching posts for the year 2014-15 and 2015-16 is being conducted. For this selection, the written exam is being conducted. KVS Syllabus & Exam Pattern is being described below as per which the preparations for exam can be done. Exam Pattern: There will be written exam conducted in 4 parts-
- Part 1) Language proficiency test (20 marks)
- Part 2) General Awareness and Computer Literacy (40 marks)
- Part 3) Academic (30 marks)
- Part 4) Administration And Finance (70 marks)
Total Time: 3 Hours
Followed by written paper, is an interview of 60 marks.
Exam Syllabus: For Language Proficiency Test, General English & Hindi is asked in the exam which will include the questions to test the Grammar, vocabulary part basically.
General Awareness & Computer Literacy will judge the candidates’ ability in the knowledge of surroundings and computers. The questions will be asked from current events of national & international affairs, political, social, economic, civil issues around, important dates & events. The computer awareness will contain the questions from internet, LAN, MS- office basics
Academic will include child Development (growth & maturation, principles, Methods, Development tasks and Hazards), Learning (Concept, Nature of Learning, Factors of Learning, Behaviourism, Gestalt (Kohler, Koffka), Observational (Bandura), Dimensions of Learning, Motivation and Sustenance), Pedagogy (Teaching, Situation learner, Guidance & Counseling, Punishment, Rights of a child, School based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation, NCF 2005 & Right to Education Act, 2009.
Several Acts/ Rights based on Children are asked in the exam such as National Curriculum Framework 2005, several responsibilities of teacher in school & towards children. Teaching Methodology questions are asked in the exam. Instructional material and resources, Evaluation, teaching techniques, planning etc. are asked in the exam.
