- Total Marks: 150 marks
NOTE: 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer
Followed by written exam, Interview of 100 marks is held.

Exam Syllabus: The syllabus of each section is detailed below-
Knowledge of Uttarakhand State: The questions will be asked as General studied section but the difference lies that all will be with respect to state. These include- Natural & Economic Resources, Political, Social Reform Movements, Geography, History, Education, Culture, Economic Development, Sports
General Studies: The questions will be asked from current affairs of India & world level, History, Geography, Economy, Planning, Natural Calamities, energy resources, Human Resource Development Index, Agriculture, sports, culture, Natural Resources, political issues, Human Rights, Environmental Problems, Biotechnology and Health Issues, Science & Technology related questions. In exam, some questions are also asked from IT, scientific researches, important dates & events, education system.
General Intelligence Test: The questions will be asked from both verbal & non- verbal type which includes- analogies, odd man series, similarities & differences, data representation, problem solving, analysis, verbal & figure classification, decision making, visual memory, relationship concepts, missing patterns, space visualization, coding & decoding
General English: The questions will be asked from comprehension passages and grammar sections. The topics are- Common errors in English, Idioms, Conversion of one part of speech into another, Prepositions, Use of Articles, One Word substitution
Comprehension passage will be given and the questions following it have to be answered in exam.
General Hindi: In this section, questions will be asked from comprehension and grammar sections-
उपसर्ग/ प्रत्यय, संधि-विच्छेद, मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, पर्यायवाची शब्द, तत्सम-तद्भव शब्द, वर्तनी-शुद्धि, वाक्य-शुद्धि, समास, विलोम शब्द, शब्द-समूहों के लिए एक शब्द
