West Bengal Staff Selection Commission Deputy Ranger/ Forester (DRF 15) recruitment exam pattern & syllabus 2015 is being given below. WBSSC Forester selection will include the candidates to give written exam, physical efficiency test and physical measurement test and personality test
WBSSC Forest Ranger Exam Pattern:
- Total Parts: 2 (Part 1 is objective & Part 2 is subjective)
- Total Marks: Part 1- 120 & Part 2- 30
- Total Questions: 120
- Total Time: 90 Minutes
- Subjects Included: Part 1- General Knowledge, English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & Part 2- English Precis writing
NOTE: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
WBSSC Forest Ranger Exam Syllabus: For PART-I:
Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, ratios & proportions, LCM & HCF, averages, mensuration, time & distance, time & work, probability, permutation & combination, statistics, simplification, simple & compound interest etc.
English: The questions will be asked from- Grammar (verb, noun, adjective, adverb, sentence verb agreement, phrasal verb, speech, narration, and idioms), vocabulary (meaning, antonym, synonyms), sentence correction & completion etc.
Reasoning: Missing pattern, odd man series, verbal reasoning, figure classification, arithmetical reasoning, table problems, relationship concepts, coding & deciding etc.
General Knowledge: The questions from current events, important dates & events, history, geography, political, social issues of country. Important books, authors, sports, athletes, culture are also included in exam.
For PART-II: English Précis Writing will be asked in which the passage has to be written in English language.
For Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Walking Test of qualifying nature only
For Men: 25 KMs in 4 Hours & For Women: 15 KMs in 4 Hours
