Institute of Banking Personnel Selection IBPS Common Recruitment Process for Clerical Cadre in the participating organizations (CWE Clerk) is being scheduled through an online exam along with interview and provisional allotment. For both IBPS Clerk Preliminary & mains exam, the candidates need to prepare well for the exam. The syllabus is mentioned for both sections below. Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years

As per IBPS notification, there are several changes in Clerk exam. IBPS Clerk exam 2016 will be help in 2 phases-
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
IBPS Clerk CWE V Exam Pattern: For Preliminary Exam-
- Total Marks: 100 marks
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Subjects: Reasoning (35 questions), English Language (30 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions)
Screening Test will be held for 1 Hour
For Mains Exam:
- Total Marks: 200 marks
- Total Time: 2 Hours
- Total Subjects: Reasoning (40 marks), English Language (40 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (40 marks), GK (40 marks), Computer Awareness (40 marks)
NOTE: There is negative marking in exam. 25% marks are deducted for each wrong question.
Exam Syllabus: As per the mentioned exam scheme, the preparation for IBPS Clerk Preliminary exam will make you prepared for mains paper also. The syllabus topics include-
Reasoning: The questions will be based on verbal & non- verbal reasoning- Odd man series, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding & de-coding, Statement & Conclusion, missing patterns, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements, pattern matching
English Language: The basics of language is tested- Grammar sections like nouns, verbs, adjectives, idioms, phrases, speech, voice etc. Vocabulary, antonyms, synonyms, meanings are asked in exam. Comprehension passages are also asked in exam.
Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, LCM & HCF, Averages, Percentage, Time & Work, Volumes, Area, profit & Loss, Probability, Permutation & Combination, Binomial Theorem, Simple & Compound Interest, Investment, Problem On Ages , graphs & charts, Problems on trains, boats & streams
General Awareness: The questions will be asked from- Current Events, Banking, General Science, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports, Culture & Banking Sector etc.
Computer Awareness: The basics of computers are asked in exam which includes- Input & Output Device, Computer organization, generations of computers, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Access), Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN & WAN, Modem. The basic operation of computer are to be tested.
